How reliable is the due date calculation?
This calculation is based on the Naegele's rule, validated by health professionals. It is, however, an estimate. The exact date can vary depending on how regular your menstrual cycle is, or on the results of your first ultrasound. The Ysé Naissance calculator gives you a clear reference point for planning your care.
How many weeks pregnant am I?
By entering the date of your last period, the calculator can also tell you your number of weeks pregnant current (or " gestational age »).
It's a great reference point for seeing where you are on your journey to birth.
Does the calculator work if my cycle is irregular?
If you have an irregular menstrual cycle, the calculated date may be less accurate. In that case, the ultrasound dating remains the most reliable medical reference. The Ysé calculator still gives you a useful starting point for planning your appointments
