A word from our founder
Perinatal care has always been my passion. It was through my own experience of motherhood that I discovered how much difference good support makes, and I trained with the right partners.
A mom of two little girls, I chose this work to help couples step into parenthood in the best way possible.
Today, Ysé Naissance means more than 200 families supported and a collective of 5 passionate doulas.

FAQ: Everything about prenatal classes in Laval
-
During my prenatal sessions, you can expect to come away with the fundamentals of pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period.
We'll explore a wide range of topics, including the physiology of birth, techniques to make labour easier, pain management, the partner's role, newborn care and breastfeeding.
-
I generally recommend starting prenatal classes around the sixth or seventh month of pregnancy. That said, don't hesitate to look into it earlier to be sure of your spot.
That gives you plenty of time to calmly prepare for the birth and for becoming a parent.
-
Classes are personalized to your needs.
The topics usually covered are:
The physiology and stages of birth
Medical interventions and why a birth plan matters
Pain management with pharmacological methods
Natural pain-management techniques
Positions to use during labour and the birth
What to put in place to make birth easier
Postpartum for parents
The first weeks with a newborn
Breastfeeding
Hypnobirthing for parents drawn to this approach

My prenatal classes depending on the package you choose, spread over 2 to 8 weeks, with a session roughly every two weeks.
Each session lasts about 2 to 3 hours, which gives us time to cover in detail all the important topics of birth preparation and the postpartum period.
-
Absolutely! My prenatal classes are open to dads-to-be or partners, as well as anyone close to you who wants to be involved in preparing for the birth.
We encourage partners to take part, because on the day, the person giving birth needs informed support.
I always say that prenatal classes are above all for the partner, because on the day of the birth the person giving birth needs to stop thinking.
-
As part of the private prenatal classes, I come to your home with all the equipment needed, and afterwards I send you all the documents we went through together.
Plan your questions and dress comfortably so you can practise the birthing positions during our sessions.
As for the group prenatal classes, bring something to take notes with and wear comfortable clothes so you can take full part in the session.
-
I offer online prenatal course for anyone who prefers to learn at their own pace from the comfort of home.
The online classes include informative videos, written materials and one-on-one video follow-up sessions so we can talk things through together.
